The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg

I have always really struggled to make the perfect hard boiled egg. My Mom gave me tips years ago and I swear they used to work, but not anymore. My friend told me about the Martha Stewart directions on how to make the perfect hard boiled egg.

So I tested it.

The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg From Martha Stewart

Put eggs in a deep saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch

Bring to a boil over high heat

Remove from heat and cover.

Let stand 13 minutes.

Use a slotted spoon to transfer eggs to an ice-water bath.

Serve warm, or leave in the bath to cool completely about 10 minutes.

Peel to serve.
