Vileda EasyWring Spin Mop & Bucket System…

I like things that make my life easy. I like self-cleaning ovens. I like photo editors on my phone. I like pre made hamburgers for the BBQ. So, I was excited about trying a mop that I didn’t have to wring myself by using my arms or hands. Enter the Vileda EasyWring Spin Mop & Bucket System…

Our mud room is an absolute disaster. It is filled with shoes, recycling, brooms, car seats and sports equipment. As much as I hate that room, I am happy as a rabbit on a carrot to have that room. It’s sort of a ‘catch all’ room. And I cannot believe I am actually showing it to you. More on that later…

Back to cleaning….

Here is by far what I dug about the EasyWring Spin Mop & Bucket System

-You don’t have to touch the mop and give it an extra squeeze. The bucket is designed with a built in hands free wringer. It whizzes around with a step on the pedal. It’s damn genius.

-It has an anti-splash guard, so when the mop spins. There is no splash. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

-The microfibre pad works really really well, like really well and it is washable and/or replaceable. Perfect for your once a week deep floor cleaning.  You can wash it up to 10x in the washing machine and leave it to hand dry. I have some other microfibre products and they clean really well, wear really well and don’t stink. There is nothing worse than a stinky mop. Am I right? Gag

-The mop’s head has a triangular design so you can get in tricky places and corners.

-Telescopic handle?! Say what? You can actually adjust the height. I ‘ve never had a mop that can do that.

I decided to use the mop on our vinyl flooring in the mudroom. Now, this is the room that gets all the wear and tear in our house. The hardest part about cleaning this room is the flooring. It is great because it hides dirt, but because of the grooves in the vinyl, I find that dirt gets trapped in the flooring making it always feel gritty. I am super impressed with this mop. That microfibre pad really did a great job absorbing all the grossness stuck in the grooves.

  1. I do use a mop. I’ve tried the ones with the disposable wet cloths (because I’m all about convenience) but they just don’t clean as well as a mop and bucket. I’ve been coveting this one but my current mop is fairly new so I’m holding off.

  2. When you have kids, a mop is a must! Not the funnest thing to use, but it beats washing the floor on your hands and knees.

  3. I haven’t used a mop in awhile since I have not found one that I really like the job it does. Right now I do the floors on my hands & knees, this does look like a mop worth trying out.

  4. I saw this post on fb and saw the foot action thing and was like WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE lol, YEAH, I use a mop , brooms are best for flying though

  5. Yes, I do use a mop -but these 70 year old hands no longer are very good of wringing it out, this looks great for people like me who have lost some strength in their hands.

  6. Actually, my mop just broke. I use the old wooden mops, and I have to wring it out with my hand and it is hard to get into corners.

  7. I was actually looking at one of these the other day . Right now I just use a long pad on a stick ( flooring place gave it to us for buying all our flooring from them) . I have never been too impressed . And come on, we never take off our shoes in our house . Constantly sweeping and mopping !

  8. Looking good with that mop! Did you watch the movie about the lady that invented the twist mop? It was pretty interesting. My sister had some kind of spin mop…not the valieda brand. Anyways it stopped working. I would love to win this mop i just bought a house!

  9. I do not use a mop. *true story* My floors are currently v.sticky. That said, the last time I did mop, it was to clean up vomit, and that one clean spot on the floor caused many slips and much hilarity as I laughed at my family each time they almost wiped out on it. *A+parenting*

  10. This reminds me of the movie Joy, so much excitement for a mop but this is my life lol!
Anything that makes housework easier speaks to me lol

  11. I use the wet swiffer but as far as I am concerned it does not that great of a job. Time to switch to a Vileda mop and bucket system.

  12. I very rarely mop, but I admit that my mom does it for me – because it bugs her more than it bugs me. Hahahaha. She has one like this, and it actually makes it pretty fun to mop. We fight over who gets to use it, so I would love to win one!

  13. I have never used a wring mop, I only have ever had a sponge mop. And I know I’m just pushing dirt around half the time… that it’s not really cleaning well. The Vileda looks like it really grabs hold of messes on the floor!

  14. I do use a mop, but haven’t found one that I like. I like the way the old wring-mops cleaned, but hated wringing it out. This Vileda mop sounds like something I should try!
