Columbia Valley Tourism…

You know those moments when you are just….done.

Or you can tell that your family is just ….. done.

We needed to get away.  We needed to see something new. We needed to eat something good. We needed to re connect with each other.

And jumping on a plane for a week at a beach destination was not currently an option for our family.

Thankfully, we didn’t have to do that.  It  was under a 2 hour drive for us to get our ‘Family Groove’ back.

We headed up the valley and spent 2 nights exploring the Columbia ValleyInvermere, Radium and Fairmont.

We were so happy that our home base was Big Horn Meadows Resort in Radium.  The resort is fantastic.  The suites were pretty unreal and the kids loved the playground and pool.

One of our stops was the Visitor Information Centre in Radium….

We spent all day Saturday in Invermere hitting up the Farmer’s Market, boutiques, the bakery, beaches and parks…

We just get so busy in our every day lives that its nice just to have some time together and slow it all down a few notches.  At night, we made popcorn and snuggled up and watched movies in our living room at Big Horn Meadows Resort.  We ate breakfast on the amazing deck.  We turned the bath tub into a swimming pool. We devoured on ice cream and gelato each and every day.

We just slowed it down.

It was exactly what we needed.

And under 2 hours from home.

Thanks so much to #CVTourism and Big Horn Meadows Resort for treating my family of wild monkeys so wonderfully.  We apologize for all the bird calling noises. I am already planning another get away.  But, this time, no kids OR husbands!
