Back to school shopping sucks.
It’s super confusing.
Let’s take scissors for example. They must be 5 inch semi point. Do you know how many darn pairs of scissors there were to choose from?
Don’t get me started on the glue. I couldn’t find the proper glue in grams. And then I bought the wrong broad point markers. Does the average person even know what broad point markers are?
They are the thick ones.
Why can’t they just say “thick markers”?
The one thing I might have a handle on is school lunches.
I got a whack load of recipes from Walmart.
Obviously I made the weirdest one I could find.
Case in point….
Did you look at that photo?
Those are 3 ingredients and one of them was a Confetti Cake Mix, 2 Great Value eggs and 1/2 a cup of Great Value butter.
I may or may not have binge ate them.
They were probably the best tasting thing I have ever eaten in my entire life.
And just to prove that I can actually get lazier- I decided to next make recipes that only required 2 ingredients.
My next #SchoolFuel attempt was Golden Carmel Apple Smash
You just cook down 3 apples on the stove with a couple of tablespoons of water and butter and then mash.
Then you squeeze in a 1/4 of a cup of Great Value caramel sundae topping and mix.
Usually I don’t “bedtime snack” with the kids, but I did for this and when no one was looking I shoved everything that was left in the pot with that blue spatula.
Not my best moment.
And then I found the 3rd mother of all recipes.
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce to you Mediterranean White Bean Dip.
From now on this is what I will be bringing to my friends homes when they say, “Oh just bring an appy.”
Even an idiot can do this.
You blend a can of Great Value Navy Beans and then add 1/2 a cup of Our Finest Roasted Red Pepper Parmesan Dressing.
I took it on a play date and everyone went to town on it.
So, there you have it. I did receive some perks to continue to be extremely lazy and share some of my favourit #SchoolFuel recipes with you.
