Can A Leopard Change It’s Spots?

While getting everyone ready for bed time, I mentioned to Zed that someone was a Leper.

First of all, I am not sure why I even said that. I am not even sure I know what a Leper is. I am not even sure I have ever even said it before.
I just know that it wasn’t a very nice thing to say.
And Whirlwind picked up on that.
“Leper, leper, leper.” She started singing and dancing around her room.
Zed’s eyes popped out of his head.  Which is a pretty common thing at our house.  Sometimes, I feel sorry for him.  I often think how much easier his life would be if he married a nice young quiet girl who really loved making her husband happy. By ironing. Or cleaning. Or making bread. I also like to imagine her teaching Sunday School, wearing a long skirt with a golden braid hanging down her back.
Back to the Leper.
I finally convinced Whirlwind that I had actually said “Leopard”.  So, if you hear my daughter calling your child a “Leopard”, I apologize in advance. She is insulting your kid.
Reminds me of story about my Dad. When he was a little boy someone told him the word “Shampoo” was a bad word.  To this day I wonder what he washes his hair with.
