Bloggers and Link 2013…

Wow.

Life feels really good.

I have just returned from 8 days away attending the very generous Link 2013 and the always wonderful Blissdom Canada plus, a small reunion with my old roomies from res in college.

I feel really good.

I feel like for the first time in a long time I was 100% me.

Firstly, I have to give a shout out to my inlaws.

Holla’ !  They flew across the country so that I may fly across the country. I officially like you more than my own parents.

Which I always have, but don’t tell those crazies.

Speaking of crazies, my mind is a little bit banana’s.

I like to say “bare with me”, but my super duper smart writing friends always correct me and tell me that unless I am actually wanting to get naked, I should use the term “bear with me”.

So please be easy on my mushy brain.

So, I spent the first few days at a 2 day conference that the  adnetwork that Mommy’s Weird is signed with, Sheblogs Media Canada.

I love bloggers.

I love them more in real life.

I love that they all trusted me, ( a woman from British Columbia)  to take them to a pub (in downtown Toronto) and I ended up taking them to a nice pub called Tilted Kilt.  Do you know what that is? Its’s a damn Hooters hidden under the guise of an Irish/Scottish pub. Those girls looked cold in their mini kilts and tartan bra’s.

Whoopsie.

(ABOVE:  Last year within the first 2 minutes of Blissdom Canada, I met these 2 girls who have become my dearest friends and it was great to connect with them again. I’d like you to meet my BBFF’s Julie and Brooke.)

I came away with a ton of info, contacts and celebrity arm brushing, but the most important moment for me was being able to meeet Jeanne Beker from Fashion Television.

SQUEEEEE!

I grew up with 3 television channels and Jeanne Beker  and Pamela Wallin were my inspirations to go into broadcasting.  I would like to add that I thought that was a pretty bold statement. I would also like to add that I have always wanted to tell her and Pamela Wallin that. I would also like to add that I think she found me super annoying.

Which I am.

I know you are used to me only gushing about beer on Mommy’s Weird, so take this recommendation seriously, the service, the location and the beauty of  The King Edward in downtown Toronto, was worth the trip alone. Don’t tell my husband, but one of these days, I am going to surprise him with a Maple Leafs game and we are staying are going to stay there and if he is lucky I will let him sleep in his own double bed.

Yes, you read that correctly.

We would each get our own double bed.

Double SQUEEEEE!

Now does anyone have Tie Domi’s home number? I need some free Leaf tickets.
